Our panels are AWESOME

Here are just 3 of the lovely panels we have in store.  My job this weekend will be to come up with a couple of designs for them.  I have already designed a wall hanging for the Merry and Bright one,

the others are just begging to be played with.
If you are interested in any of these panels they are in store now, or they should be up on the website within the next couple of hours.

Loving hugs,

Beware I'm Yarned and Dangerous :)

Our friend Jenny over at K2Tog is running a Christmas Competition.
Why not enter with a wonderful creation and go in for the chance to win a gorgeous Christmas Hamper.  I hear there are some stunning baubles in there as well.

Brown packages tied up with string......

....well that's how the song goes.  However, today I am singing it with the words, White cardboard boxes tied up with ribbon.
This little box was delivered yesterday to the store and LOOK at what was inside.

I can not wait to get my little creative hat on to make some goodies out of these Layer Cakes.
If you haven't met French General by Moda before allow me to introduce you, 'Friend, this is French General, French General this is Friend'. I hope that you form a fantastic warm bond and that there are countless hours of creativity to be shared.

Sit and Sew

We have been asked by a lot of ladies to have Saturday afternoons for Sit and Sew's.
If you think you might be interested in coming along to these afternoons please drop us a line of comment here on our blog.
They will be on the first Saturday of the month and will run from 1pm - 4pm.
The cost will be $5.00 and afternoon tea will be provided.
There will not be classes during this time.
If you wish to have a personal 1 hour class with Mrs Claus the cost would be $25.00 and bookings are essential.

Our next sit and sew will be on October 6th so call us and book your spot today.

These days are great days for you to get some of those projects done that have been piling up and you can do it in the company of others that have a love for quilting and sewing.

The week that was

Firstly, I apologise for not posting sooner.  I have been searching and searching for my little Canon G12 camera that I took with me to Henty.  Seriously, I have been turning the house and even the shop upside down looking for it.  I had reserved myself to the fact that it had decided to go and live with somebody else from Henty.

That was, until, I looked in a Dust & Boots bag sitting next to the couch in the lounge room,  AND there is was, tucked away with a bunch of doily's that I had purchased.

So here are some of the pictures I took during the week with some of the gorgeous people that we had met in our travels.

This picture of boxes was taken around 8am on Monday morning, when my Head Elf and I started to set up our stall.  It was hard to know exactly what to take with us to Henty out of the shop.

So we TOOK EVERYTHING THAT WE COULD ......
This is what our stall looked like at around 2pm on Monday afternoon, 6 hours after we started setting up.  We really liked the look of our little shop away from the shop.

My Head Elf and I had a great time during our time at Henty sourcing new and interesting things.
We just loved meeting Belinda (affectionately known to us now as 'The Body Shop Lady'..... her stall was right next door to ours.  Belinda is from Wagga Wagga and Head Elf and I are so very tempted to have a Body Shop Bubbles and Beauty party.........

Head Elf was so taken with the products that she could often be found sitting in Belinda's seat spreading some Christmas Cheer through the Body Shop stall :)

This is one view from our stall,  Beechworth Honey were just across the road,

And the lovely Stacey from Koolaman Designs was just to our right.  Be sure to keep an eye out for an exciting venture with The Christmas Beetle and Koolaman Designs later on in the year.  If you have heard of Koolaman Designs you can check them out here.

Come Thursday at 5:00pm it was time to pack up and head back to Albury.  Ta ta Henty thank you for an interesting week full of fun, laughter, and what we are hoping will be new lifelong friends.

Love and many blessings to all,
Mrs C xxx and Jennifer (Head Elf).

HENTY here comes The Beetle.

Well it's finally here.  We unloaded the truck and spent the day setting up our stand at the Henty Field Days.
I am excited and a little nervous, as this is our very first time at taking The Beetle to the people.
I hope they like what we have brought to them and I also hope that we can inspire them just that little bit more with regard to Christmas.
98 days to go and I am counting down the days.....
I wonder what day number 97 will hold?
Love to all, Mrs C xxx

A Christmas Story - only 3 left

We are getting our gumboots and jeans ready because we are GOING TO THE HENTY FIELD DAYS.......

I have been packing up kits for A Christmas Story and they are selling out as quick as I am making them up.

We have 3 kits and books left. If you want to be a part of this and sew this with us you had better get a wriggle along.

Give us a call or send us a message.  We will not be holding our Saturday sip-sit-sew's till February so that will give us all a bit of time to get started and to work out which other things we want to make out of this fantastic book.

Remember only THREE left......

Looky Looky at what has arrived in our store.....I am still sewing like made to get some projects finished BUT honestly how am I not supposed to drool and start thinking about what I can make with these fantastic Jelly Rolls.

Sewing those bits and pieces for Christmas

It's about that time again where we start to sew up a few bits and pieces to add to our Christmas decorating or to be given away as gifts to loved ones.  Not to mention the school fete's that are on between now and the end of November.
I am always looking for something easy to work through that will add a little more cheer to our home during the Christmas Season.
In store we have a few little patterns that are quick to whip up and would make lovely gifts or additions to your home.
Have you seen Natalie Ross's Christmas Patterns? We have some here in store and they are very sweet.
How about a row of bunting to bring some Christmas Cheer to your mantle or doorway?

Start off 2013 with a new journal featuring a pear tree.

Angels are always a welcoming sight no matter what time of the year.
Has this got you thinking about some projects? I hope so.
Until next time,
Mrs C xxx
